Prevention of bullying and intimidation among students
Sainte-Clotilde School is actively committed to the prevention and caring management of situations of bullying or distress experienced by students.
A dedicated resource team, known as the Saint Bernard team and trained by the ReSIS centre, operates under the authority of the Head of School to support the students concerned and restore a peaceful climate within the school community.

Guiding Principles
-
The team applies the Shared Concern Method (MPP), an approach grounded in active listening, trust, and the collective search for solutions.
-
This method is initially non-blaming and non-punitive: the aim is to help each individual move forward constructively and to put an end to intimidating behaviour.
-
Situations are addressed promptly and with respect for everyone involved.
General Process
-
Short, supportive interviews are conducted with the victim, any witnesses, and the students whose behaviour is at issue.
-
A follow-up period of up to 15 days is observed.
-
The team then carries out a collective review to assess how the situation has evolved.
-
If no improvement is observed, the Head of School may decide to apply an educational sanction.
Role of the Parents
-
The parents of the student who has been targeted may be received at their request, or whenever the situation gives cause for concern, in order to be informed of the approach and to seek appropriate support.
-
The parents of the student whose behaviour is at issue are informed only in the event of a sanction, and are then associated with the educational measures put in place.
Follow-up and confidentiality
-
A follow-up file is opened by the resource team.
-
The student's teacher is informed in order to ensure continuity of support.
-
All steps are carried out in a confidential setting and with respect for the students involved.
Commitment of the educational community
The prevention of bullying and intimidation is the shared responsibility of the entire educational community. Every member of the school — students, families, teaching staff, educational staff, administrative staff and the school leadership — contributes to building a respectful, safe and protective school climate.
